Bath Bombs

Ingredients
- 400 grams baking soda
- 200 grams citric acid
- 200 grams Epsom salts
- 200 grams cornstarch
- 45 ml fractionated coconut oil or liquid oil of choice
- 20 drops (optional) essential oil 5 -10drops colouring Spray bottle of distilled water. Botanicals - optional e.g. camomile, calendula, lavender petals etc.
Method
- Mix together dry ingredients thoroughly.
- Add oil and mix thoroughly (guickly to avoid the citric acid and bicarbonate fizzing too much).
- Add essential oil and mix thoroughly.
- Add colour and mix thoroughly.
- Spray the surface with about two squirts of distilled water and mix quickly and thoroughly. Repeat until the mixture sticks or clumps together. NOT TOO WET!
- Add optional botanicals and blend in well.
- Press firmly into moulds. Or for balls, press gently into the two halves then drop a small mound of extra mix onto one side and squeeze the two halves together.
- Wipe around the rim to remove excess mixture and gently remove one half.
- Place onto a clean dry surface and remove the other half of the mould.
- Leave to dry for between 2 - 24 hours depending on the temperature and humidity.
- Package in well sealed bags.
